Here are the stats from our local hospital – Airedale.
August was another great month for Airedale – assisted births compared to vaginal births are around 50/50. This is a good indicator of how women and birthing people are supported in their decision making around their birth experience at Airedale.
The VBAC number this month is very good too – not quite the high of last month but still really good! Five VBACs which is still much higher than months prior to July 2025. A VBAC is a vaginal birth after caesarean. This again demonstrates choice and support for personal choice which I’m all here for.
So a great month, thank you to all the midwives, doctors and support staff who help our local parents to be.
