Your birth preferences

|

Who is in the room?
Whoever is by your side, they have a really important role to play and need to be prepared to support you.

Managing your comfort levels
This can be difficult to know until you are in labour. Make sure you know all the options open to you to help you feel more comfortable in labour.

Delayed cord clamping
Waiting for the oxygen rich blood to flow into baby can be really beneficial.

Delivering the placenta
Would you prefer to wait to deliver your placenta spontaneously? You may be offered an injection of syntocinon to help deliver the placenta.

Who receives baby?
When your baby is born, would you like to receive baby first, or your birth partner?
